For 4 people you need

4 large old potatoes little melted fat or oil OR little seasoned flour

Filling

1 oz. margarine or butter seasoning 4 oz. finely chopped cooked ham or boiled bacon or cooked meat or corned beef

stuffed baked potatoes Scrub and dry then prick the potatoes, to prevent the skin 'bursting'. To crisp skin rub outside with melted fat or little oil-or roll in a very little seasoned flour. Put on the baking tray or sheet. Either bake in a moderately hot oven 400°F. - Gas Mark 5-6 until soft OR Bake in a very moderate to moderate oven 350-375°F.-Gas Mark 3-4 for 1 1/2 -2 hours. Slit the skin at once for a plain baked potato to give a 'floury' texture as the steam escapes, but when stuffing, cut a slice from the top and scoop out most of the inside. Mash this with the margarine and seasoning, add the bacon and pile back into the cases. Re-heat if wished for a further 10minutes. Oven position : centre
