Chocolate Pudding

 For 4 people you need :

    6 oz. plain chocolate
    | pint milk
    3 oz. digestive biscuit crumbs
    1 egg

  To decorate:

    2 oz. chopped nuts
    cream

  1. Melt the chocolate in a basin over hot water.
  2. Add the milk gradually.
  3. Stir until thoroughly blended.
  4. Pour into a saucepan.
  5. Add the biscuit crumbs and stir until the mixture thickens.
  6. Add the egg yolk and simmer for 2-3 minutes, stirring the whole time.
  7. Cool slightly, then whisk the egg white stiffly.
  8. Fold into the mixture.
  9. Pour into the oiled mould.
  10. Stand in a baking tin of hot water.
  11. Bake for time and temperature given.
  12. Allow to cool before turning out.
  13.  Oven temperature: moderate, 375°F.-Gas Mark 4
     Oven position: centre
